Brake pads and rotors never stopped squealing.?

Its been a year since I had new brake pads and rotors put on my Envoy, They never stopped squealing since the day they put them on. Took it back to the shop about 4 times and all they could do was quiet them for about a day or two. they are actually quiet for the first few hours of the day and get noisier as the day goes on. Now I absolutly cannot stand it anymore and am taking it to a new shop. What should I have them do?, I dont want to have new pads put on and that not be the problem,I was going to get a free brake inspection from Midas but the guy wanted to hose me the last time I went I dont feel like I can trust him.
